Fall is the most magical season on the calendar — we’ll gladly meet you under the bleachers and fight you if you don’t agree, but how could you not? The changing leaves! The deliciously crisp weather! Root vegetables! Hot apple cider! And the sweaters, oh the sweaters!!!!

Truly, the only struggle we have with fall fashion is figuring out the perfect outfit to wear for autumnal events like homecoming games, haunted hayrides, and Thanksgiving dinner with your partner’s family. Luckily for all of us, there are now plenty of fashionistas on Instagram who can provide plenty of inspiration for our fall outfit choices. Check out some of our favorites below!

Pumpkin Picking Perfection

If you’re heading to the pumpkin patch, you gotta plan on A) looking cute, obviously, and B) bending down a lot on and walking around in hay or dirt (twinning with your BFF is completely optional but strongly encouraged). Here, Latisha and Shannon have met those pumpkin picking criteria with snuggly knit sweaters and distressed jeans that are more than happy to stretch so they can pluck their perfect gourd. Plus, those brimmed hats are a staple in fall fashion, just in case you decide to go to the patch during golden hour. Oh, and what to wear apple picking is a WHOLE other story!

Fashion Touchdown on these Homecoming Outfits

It’s not easy pulling off a skirt while sitting in the stands (or even being on the sidelines like Erin), but the corduroy and brick red color totally legitimize it. The white western boots are also a risky move considering all the hot dogs and beers that could be spilled, but you gotta take those risks from time to time for the sake of looking stunning. No matter who wins on the field, this fall fashion out is a winner every time.

Brewery Tour Babe

Fall marks the changing of the seasons when it comes to the weather and beer. And if you want to taste the latest pumpkin ales, porters, and stouts, you gotta make sure you look good for them all. Clearly, Jennifer knows her stuff when it comes to beer and style. This black jumpsuit is both elegant and edgy, which mirrors the whole idea of discussing finishing notes for bubbly stuff that comes out of kegs. The simple silver necklace is really the only fall fashion accessory you need to balance out the décolletage area, too.

Thanksgiving With Potential In-Laws

Thanksgiving is basically a minefield when it comes to potential faux pas — politics, food quality, and family planning decisions could all be topics rife with cringeworthy conversation, especially when you’re with your partner’s extended family. One thing you can make sure isn’t up for debate is your Thanksgiving dinner outfit, and we think Danielle has nailed this one. This form-fitting, buttoned-up dress could be perceived as a bit much by your love’s more conservative relatives, but layering it with a simple black turtleneck makes it totally judgmental-aunt-friendly.

Scary Good Lewks for Haunted Hayrides

For a haunted hayride, you want to evoke the essence of Halloween without going full-tilt costume. Dibya found the right balance here — the black rimmed hat is witchy without the warts, snd the camel combat boots gives her an edge. The knotted autumnal tee is always a nice touch, especially when paired with a patterned high-waisted skirt. Even if she’s scared and screaming the entire hayride, at least she’ll look good doing it.

Hiking In Style

What better way to take in the jewel-toned leaves than up on some mountain? As long as your dressed appropriately, an autumn hike an amazing way to feel one with the season, as well as get a cute workout in while you’re at it. Take a page out of Chanel’s book and jazz up your hike with black fitted joggers and a boxy cropped hoodie. Then, add a beanie with the biggest puff you can find, and you’ll be made in the yellow, orange, and red shade.

Hot Bonfire Flair

Channel the flannel & basic tees yall! ✨🙏🏼Bonfires, flannel, s’mores, sweaters, campfires, and pumpkins! 🍁🎃 What are some of your fall favorites? Growing up I would love to carve pumpkins (wasn’t ever good at it though..and still am not even with stencils🤦🏼‍♀️🤣). While I was carving I would take out all of the seeds and wash them and put them on a baking sheet to make delicious flavored roasted pumpkin seeds to eat. Has anyone else done that? I loved making them sweet with brown sugar and cinnamon. — Check out this cute-tee from @magnoliapinkboutique love supporting small businesses. Once the sun sets, a bonfire is where you want to be during the fall. Outfit-wise, you want to match the autumnal romance that a bonfire symbolizes. Linds found her romantic hero piece on those rich caramel thigh-high boots, and then just continued things upward with the pinky frill mini skirt and soft tee. All she needs is a special someone to snuggle up with near the flames and it’ll be bonfire perfection!

Cabin Party Cutie

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself. – Coco Chanel I have learned that as much as we love choosing new clothes, putting cute outfits together and looking great. We need to remember that we also need to find our inner beauty and have a positive mindset, because for a person that does not a positive mindset physical beauty does very little. @stylecoachinginstitute Outfit: @crystalhouse_boutique #momlife #mom #mompreneur #mindfulstyling #minneapolisblogger #fashionista #latinafashion #latinablogger #smartshopper #mindfulshopper #mpls #mnstyle #mindfulblogger #fashionblogger #styleblogger #latinaentrepreneur #sustainablefashion #comfyoutfit #soccermom #fallstyle #falloutfit #minneapolisstyle #minneapolisbloggers #happybirthday #loveyourinnerbeauty

Maybe you want to escape your everyday environment and head to a cabin in the woods to experience a mini autumn vacay. We’re very much here for that, given you’ve packed accordingly. Brenda has the right idea with this super versatile checkered jumpsuit; paired with a long duster cardigan and black suede booties, this fall fashion forward outfit is ready for a woodsy stroll or some cider on the porch or even a raucous drunken bonfire moment (hey, whatever happens in the woods, stays in the woods, right?).

If you’re in a pinch and need a chic yet no-nonense outfit at the ready, look no further than what Katherine is wearing. A high-waisted, light wash jean with a sleek, high-neck top is a match made in fall fashion heaven. A gorgeous, fuzzy, creamy coat is a solid option for crisp temperatures, too. Complete the look with white sneakers and your favorite beanie, and you’re ready for whatever the season throws your way!
