As demand grows, so does the need for better, faster ways to create ecommerce content. We’re opening a 70,000 square-foot capture factory in Bentonville, Arkansas that’s designed to make the production of interactive product content faster and more scalable. It’s a big step forward in how we help brands show up online, and we’re thrilled to have Ben Kaufman joining us as Eko’s new President to help lead the charge.
This studio is the first of its kind in ecommerce: a full-scale production hub for capturing high-quality, interactive content across categories, including electronics, apparel, home goods, toys, and more. Custom-built stages, advanced sensors, and AI-powered workflows will let us create content more efficiently without sacrificing quality or performance. Plus, it’s bringing hundreds of new jobs to Northwest Arkansas.
Ben will oversee the buildout and lead the expansion of our capture capabilities, including our growing partnership with Walmart. He’s spent his career building brands that rethink how people discover and shop for products—founding CAMP, Mophie, and Quirky and serving as CMO at BuzzFeed.
"The product page hasn't changed in 30 years and e-commerce is at an inflection point. Consumers are responding to richer, more engaging product experiences," said Kaufman. "I’m joining Eko at such a pivotal time in e-commerce. The impact their interactive gallery is having on the performance metrics of their clients is almost unbelievable. Here in Bentonville, we aspire to not just build interactive galleries, but lay the groundwork for helping machines understand products in the same revolutionary way that barcodes helped machines identify products years ago. This is a critical step towards the age of AI-powered commerce.”
We’ve worked with Ben before—most recently in 2020, when Eko partnered with CAMP to bring immersive experiences to their stores. Now, with his leadership, we’re accelerating what’s possible across our platform.
“We’re leading the way in AI content innovation in e-commerce," said Yoni Bloch, Eko’s Founder and CEO. “Now we’re expanding our capacity to serve more clients, move faster, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. This facility is an investment in our future and the talent that will help drive it. Furthermore, Ben’s experience building brands, deep understanding of the retail landscape, e-commerce, and immersive experiences aligns perfectly with our mission to revolutionize how consumers interact with products online."
There’s more to come, but for now we’re thrilled to be growing in a way that helps our clients move faster, connect more meaningfully with shoppers, and rethink how products show up online.
